Progress update on my tree skirt. It's almost finished. Measures at 11.5 inch radius, done when it hits 15. #crafting #craftersoflitsy

Lindy @LeahBergen Let me know what you think afterwards, okay? 4mo
Lindy @tournevis Jolene and I will make additional videos diving into the many excellent nominations that didn‘t make our top 67. I will be making one especially about the 19 French-language titles that were mentioned. 4mo
tournevis @Lindy Marvelous! Link it here too here! 4mo

squirrelbrain Oh, looking forward to seeing the results of this! 5mo
Lindy @squirrelbrain Me too! So far, we don‘t have a lot of overlap in titles. Early days…. 5mo
tournevis Ooh! That's a good idea 5mo

tournevis That was so fun! Had to cut out a few books that I know I read in the early 2000-oughts but that were published in like 1998 or 1999. Pretty sure that I'll be the only one citing a few of these too. 4mo
Lindy @tournevis Thanks Isabelle! 4mo
tournevis @Lindy 🖖 4mo
LiteraryHoarderPenny Thanks for letting me participate!! It was fun. It was hard! I‘m anxiously awaiting the full list! 4mo
Lindy @LiteraryHoarderPenny So far, the front runner is a book that made both of the NYT top 100 lists (the original list plus the readers choice) 4mo

Twitter coming in hot with the commentary on Mary Rodgers' excellent memoir! Though she is often recognized in connection with her legendary composer father, Richard Rodgers, and her Tony award-winning son, Adam Guettel, Mary was an award-winning composer and author herself. Come for the scathing one-liners and take-downs (Arthur Laurents gets gloriously dragged); stay for the honesty of a woman who was outspoken, complicated, and gutsy as hell.

willaful Does it mention her children's books? 5mo
Andrea313 Yes, she discusses that writing later in the book, and touches very briefly on the various film adaptations, too. 5mo

I adore this cosy image and quote. You can always rely on Van Gogh for wisdom and clarity.

"The best way to know life is to love many things."

There‘s a lot that I would like to say about trying to get this particular package out, but the fact is I got it out and that‘s all that matters. Ship three days so it will be there before opening. Also, it no longer looks like this because it couldn‘t be shipped with the brown paper around it. #NightmareMakerSwap or #NMS23

LibrarianRyan Why couldn't it be sent in brown paper? Is it because it was a flat rate box? I hate that rule. Glad you got it out. 1y

The author's personal narrative here is not always overly compelling, but the account of the work undertaken is phenomenal. Theatre of War makes an ancient tradition alive and present on military bases, in hospice centers, carceral institutions, homeless shelters, mental health facilities and more, doing exactly what theatre, at it's best, is meant to do- challenge, inspire, heal, create community, and bring us into dialogue and reflection.
