I read this book as a teenager and recently found it on Kindle. If I remember correctly, it is an excellent example of unreliable narrator, since you have no idea if the protagonist is right or deluded. Her suspicions/delusions are about her stepmother, a nurse . . . I can‘t wait to reread it and see if it is as engaging as I first thought it!

This was my graduation day way back in 1998! Dang I look young!! This was one of the first books I bought! These are my grandmothers ❤️ The one on the right has since passed away 💔 She is definitely in a better place ✝️

This has been on my tbr for a looooong time! The problem is that I think I will like it, and the series would be a big investment. I also refuse to watch the show until I have read it. And so it has sat on my shelf until I am ready... But apparently the main character is a nurse 😋

This is the memoir of a trainee nurse in the UK in the early 1970s. It came out around the time Call the Midwife first became popular but luckily it wasn‘t as sad as that show! (I love it but it is a tear fest!) #AboutaNurse #BiblioMAYnia

An excellent first book in the Maisie Dobbs series, which covers her early life including a time as a #Nurse in the First World War, prior to becoming a private investigator.
This is a great series.

I haven‘t read this yet (waiting for Banned Books Week) but I‘ve heard plenty about Nurse Ratched, probably one of the most famous fictional nurses ever.
