pickPerhaps #underaspell really only applies to the tagged book, but it's The Master and Margarita that provides the link in this triple #bookmatch! What to do prefer? Dancing with the devil (or similarly styled magical personage?) or big black talking dogs? M&M and JS&MN are both big and often dense but have a huge payoff. Mr. Chartwell is a fine little book-enjoyable but not all that much to write home about, I just love the dog connection.

The story of the Waverleys & their magic gift was so gorgeous, from the magic apple tree in Claire's backyard and her gift of mixing wishes into food made from her garden ingredients, to the wonderful Evanelle who has urges to give people things that they don't know they need until they do. I wish I grew up in a family like that!🌳🏡
#UnderASpell In this book, if you eat an apple from the tree in her yard, you fall under a slight spell and have a vision. I really enjoyed this book and haven‘t had a chance to continue the series yet. #HallowReads
