This humorous F, Graphic Novel is about a dragon named Danny who cannot breathe fire and sets off to the ocean to complete a school assignment. This is a great IR. Penguin.com offers a great resource for discussion questions. I would use UDL ( 3.3 ) guide information processing and visualization. DrSpalding I think independent reading and graphic novels go hand-in-hand. Of course you could use one as a literature circle option so that students can discuss what they are reading/seeing. I agree that they are very popular amongst intermediate elementary students 5y
