Halfway through this morning at work, I had to admit defeat and take a sick day - I‘m so congested! Started this (unputtdownable so far) book in a very hot bath with peppermint and eucalyptus oil. shellleigh33 It is girl. We had the flu go through our house couple weeks ago and it was not fun at all. I am sending good vibes your way. Hope it is just sinuses or simple cold and you wake up feeling refreshed and better in the morning. Our doctor told us to take a medicine called Oscillococcinum that you can buy over the counter for the symptoms. It is a homeopathic medicine that is similar to tamiflu but a lot cheaper and it did help. 6y

shellleigh33 Have also been told that by one of the nurse practitioners that I work with that black elderberry is suppose to help with flu like symptoms. 6y

mcipher @shellleigh33 I just heard that Oscillococcinum is the best thing! I have been taking zinc and black elderberry. And much better today, thanks!! 😊 Still stuffy but in the mend. Sorry you guys had the flu - kids are the worst with getting sick and I know working in a hospital doesn‘t help. 6y

Came home to super cool book mail, but these story cards -The Family Arcana- aren‘t in the Litsy database. We went to the casino for dinner and then we had to get Krispy Kreme, since it‘s right at the entrance! I am loving this book so far - it‘s very quiet and full of minute detail about the characters, and his writing is lovely. It took six or seven tries to get this shot of #Chloe with this book. I am not actually DNFing because book club, but I want to run away from it. The prose is so PURPLE. I read my husband several passages aloud to highlight how silly some of it feels... I don‘t know, it‘s a bestseller, and I‘ve read some wordy stuff I‘ve loved. But this book is like swimming through peanut butter. #catsoflitsy #tuxedokittiesoflitsy @MinDea

shellleigh33 My kids‘ postcard came in last week. I guess they really are laid back in Cancun. They said when I sent it off there that it would take a few weeks to get to the states. I guess a few weeks to them is a couple months to us 🤣. 6y

I‘m reading this on Hoopla and I keep putting it down because it‘s SO gory and sad, and I‘m having a tough time following what is going on. The art is gorgeous, though, and I feel like I‘ll love it if I can figure it out.
This is #Chloe from earlier - she sits like this all the time. 😆 Right now she‘s sleeping and we are enjoying our last Xmas lights night before the tree goes down. 😫
