pickZeruya Shalev writes so well about love, marriage and family. In this novel there‘s also pain. The narrator was injured in a terrorist attack on a bus in Jerusalem. Ten years later, the pain returns. So does her first love. An intense book I read for #FoodAndLit #Israel.

BarbaraBB @Anna40 Me too. My favorite is one that doesn‘t seem to have been translated into English unfortunately. I must be wrong. I read it in Dutch, where it‘s title means ‘The Second Family‘ and it‘s about a female narrator trying to connect with the kids of her new lover. (edited) 4y
