Reggie How many times do we wish they would have listened when we said that? 8y
LauraBeth I haven't read it yet - what is the age appropriateness of it do you think? @ValerieAndBooks and @Cinfhen 8y
Cinfhen Interesting question @LauraBeth I would have felt comfortable with my daughter reading this junior/senior year HS, but some of the language, imagery and messages are dark, uncomfortable & mature. I'm not done yet so I'm not sure if the tone cools down or remains bleak and broken. I'm curious what @ValerieAndBooks feels? My daughter is now 24😱and the book seems to be directed to her generation 8y
Cinfhen Too often @Reggie 😪 8y
ValerieAndBooks @LauraBeth I agree with @Cinfhen. My daughter is 18 (college freshman). 16 at the youngest, maybe, for reading this. Later on in this volume there's more self-affirmation and realization of how not to lose yourself (personality-wise) in another. There's a lot of poems from this book posted here on Litsy which probably would give you an idea (but your library may have it also). 8y
LauraBeth Thanks @ValerieAndBooks and @Cinfhen 😘 8y
