Pickpick

This is a cool #graphicnovel featuring a secret society for women in #STEM founded by #MarieCurie. Our three new recruits must learn to work together and their mentors must learn to trust them, in order to thwart a plot that would put sensitive research data in the hands of extremists who think they‘re going to save humanity from itself. Topical issues, female power, cool science — what‘s not to love? #TheMITpress #DavidCat #CatsofLitsy

BethM This sounds epic. 3y
SaunteringVaguelyDownwards Wow! This plot is very similar to the one our research team designed for our educational alternate reality game The Tessera - only our secret society was open to anyone and led by Ada Lovelace (but Curie was a member as well!) Will be adding this to my TBR. 3y

Another thing I like about this #graphicnovel published by #TheMITpress is that it has a good glossary explaining all the science, scientists, and concepts that appear in the story. #STEM

ncsufoxes So cool. My husband is a scientist so we buy a lot of books about scientists. Now that we have a daughter, I buy lots of books about women in science. 3y
