I was thrilled when I saw this book in Libby. I had no clue there was a sequel to Rabbits. Of course, since Rabbits is about a secretive game you're not supposed to talk about, that players sometimes don't even know they're playing, perhaps it's no coincidence that I was pulled back into this fast-paced multidimensional thriller. 😉

A year (two?) ago, my book club chose the third book in this series to read together. I hate reading out of order so I promptly bought this one. Didn‘t read it (or the monthly selection) because I was missing the meeting anyway. Now reading it will give me a bookspin bingo. pickAnother long one but well worth the read/listen. Father Callahan from ‘Salem‘s Lot is in this book. We find out what happened to him since he left The Lot and how he ended up in Calla Bryn Sturgis. An incredibly slow reading day today but…life still goes on. I did manage 6% of this new read though so, in this case, some is better than nothing.
pickIt‘s always a bit sad to come to the end of enjoyable series. This one was a bit anticlimactic but interesting nonetheless. I also enjoyed the fact that the books in this series were only about 4 1/2 hours long. Quite a change from Tana French. #SeriesLive2023 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView
