pickI was expecting an historical fiction about the formation of Liberia and found myself in a Fantasy super hero tale. Gbessa, our MC, is a wonderful character whose life unfolds in unexpected ways. pickSex and the City: Kiss and Tell by Amy Sohn - 4/5 Stars: I read this in a matter of hours! I am huge SATC fan so this book (filled with photos, information about the fashion and places featured on the show, and cast interviews) is perfect. My only real criticism of this book is that it doesn‘t cover anything beyond season 4. This was published in 2002, well before SATC and Us, but there is some overlap. This is a #mustread for fans! #jpbookreview
pickARC from First To Read, Penguin. I now own the book, too. This book is a wonderfully written story of a Muslim Indian American family. Tradition, discipline, betrayal on many levels, heartbreak, forbidden love, familial love, excruciating loss, hope, hope, hope. The last bit of Part 3 and all of Part 4 made me weep.
