Was delighted to come home tonight to a parcel from the wonderful @LibrarianRyan! It's super rad that she decided to share some of her Book Expo treasures with Littens who couldn't attend. All of these sound like amazingly fun reads- not sure how I'll decide what to pick up first!

The #roadtripgiveaway is officially OVER. I am home and the real world has intruded. The doggies let me know the dog yard needs mowed and I get to deal with downed tree limbs. Plus move the patio furniture until the tree gets topped.

Can you feel it? Driving down a dark Louisiana freeway in a convertible with Sympathy For The Devil blaring from the car! I think the relation between both is obvious to anyone that‘s seen the movie, but the existentialist answer is that vampires are devils that draw you in & make you fascinated until it‘s too late and they have teeth in your neck.

I have no idea where I am going to put all of this.

Since I just finished this book I started thinking about a song for Lillian. Not only is Here I Go Again by Whitesnake a badass #roadtrip song but it is the perfect anthem for this book! I think the lyrics fit Lillian's story to a T. Plus, she is one hardcore lady, I think she would approve....maybe 😉

My favorite travel song is Rains In Africa by Toto. Isn‘t it just the best singalong song? I‘m pairing it with my current read Out Of Africa. The similarities of wide open spaces, heat, and the wild continent are obvious.
