pickI don't know how to review this. I feel like I didn't enjoy it as much as it deserves, though I did enjoy it. I couldn't fully get into Andrew or Sam as characters, so even though the writing was good and I enjoyed the story overall (other than a few things that needed a bit more development toward the end), I feel so-so on it. I also don't love atmospheric books, and this was very atmospheric. This came to me from #RainbowCrateBookBox. #LGBTQ
pickRefugee and blood magic user Firuz convinces a small clinic to take them on as an assistant during a pandemic, and they find themself in the midst of an unexpected underlying crisis. I really enjoyed this read, which I picked up because of #RainbowCrateBookBox. I liked the characters, and always enjoy finding queer-normative settings. The ending got intense but it was really good. Also loved the giant mushrooms. #LGBTQ #Magic
I wanted to post an unboxing photo of the February Rainbow Crate Book Box now that they're running their photo challenge on Instagram and TikTok. I loved this month's box and look forward to putting together this Brothersong puzzle (which is hard to see in this shot). I'm also excited to use the If It Makes You Happy tea tin!

pickHere we have another book I picked up partly because of #RainbowCrateBookBox. I don't always enjoy retellings of Greek myths (I'm not sure why, since I love Greek mythology), but I really enjoyed this one. I liked the characters and narration throughout. This book also wins in a category it invented: most romantic, sweet, passionate, lyrical, and surprisingly non-explicit sex scene.
