Another great installment in this series! The San Francisco earthquake of 1906 swept in fast and furious and Leo and Morris are caught out on the streets at the wrong time. Luckily they survive and help a few others as well. Leo's grandfather was an east coast transplant during the Gold Rush and that survivalist spirit helps him through.

The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires: A Novel | Grady Hendrix

so-so

I went into this knowing I hate vampires but it was a pretty complex story. Lots going on with each character and I felt like the villain was sort of an aside. Not one of the women in the book club was likable for me and I really only loved Miss Mary & Mrs. Greene. Must be the New Yorker in me, bless my heart... 😂 A well constructed story but at the bottom of my list for Hendrix.
