Paul‘s lyrical text gently guides readers through the nine months of pregnancy, highlighting the growth and changes that happen both inside the womb and in the outside world. The illustrations by Jason Chin are warm and vibrant, complementing the text with detailed, yet soft depictions of a developing baby and a loving family preparing for their new arrival.

Unexpectedly my favorite Deb Caletti book thus far. The unrequited/being in love with someone you shouldn‘t be hit a little too close to home. I loved Zeus, the dog, Scarlet‘s journey, her family and the escapades of her neighbors. I definitely cried the last few chapters and loved the writing.

This book is a cozy hug! Eve‘s journey through a surprise pregnancy, discovering herself & friends-to-lovers romance is predictable but perfect. The warmth, charm and heartfelt moments shine. There‘s also a found family vibe here. The audiobook was fantastic, bringing these lovable characters to life. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚

I don't think I would read this to first graders, but I feel like it could be informative during a sex Ed course or teaching about the difference between women and men.

This book discusses how a baby is developed within the woman body. It is very informative while also displaying a family going through the birth story of their child. The illustrations show a clear depiction of the different stages of fetus growth.

This story provides a child friendly representation of what it is like for a mother when she is pregnant. This gives children a visual representation of what they looked like while they were in the womb.
