Birdsong28

Pickpick

Very good. Interesting account of a person that has been vilified throughout history as someone who helped to bring down her brother and Sister in law (George and Anne Boleyn) and Catherine Howard . Even though this is a debut book you can see the influence her husband the prominent Tudor historian John Guy as the writing style is similar as it just flowed and read like a novel and the wealth of research that has gone into it. Birdsong28 Even though there are plenty of times when she states that she can't be sure what Jane was doing at the time due to the lack of documents, but this happens with a lot of Tudor documents as a lot has either not been written down or lost down the years, so you are left with other prominent people and their story so you only really get Jane's story at the start and end of her life as that was when she was the star player.
