I don't personally know anyone else who's read Donaldson's Gap series, or any of his other non-Thomas Covenant works, and since I seem to be the only person on Litsy who's posted anything about these books, I figure they are a fit for #obscurelove. Donaldson is one of my favourite writers. I loved this dark and often disturbing series in spite of the violence, horror, and despicable characters. #17BookLove

One of my #obscurelove fascinations are the UF, Sci-Fi series that not many people have heard of written by this talented author. I don't know why but her Reveler series is the least rated/reviewed of all of her series. I truly wish more people knew of and enjoyed her awesome work.

I'm using this book for #ObscureLove because I've never met someone else who's read it, though I'm sure some of you have. I don't remember much about the plot, but I know I loved reading it when I was little. #17BookLove

howjessicareads I have not! But I read one with a very similar cover called "The Mystery of the Green Cat". ? 8y
MidnightBookGirl I have! I LOVED this series when I was a kid! 7y

#17booklove Day 28 - #obscurelove

This is a beautiful book on animals rescued from the food industry. Visiting farm sanctuaries over the years I've been #vegan has changed my life. I truly love the work such organizations do.

#obscurelove I've interpreted as books a lot of people might not have heard of (rather than obscure content). So that is hard for a Litsy audience- you guys have read everything. Thought these ones might be less well known. Funny and warm, and very very "norn irish"... #17booklove #northernireland @jess.how

BookishMarginalia Definitely obscure to me! 8y

This trilogy is my #obscurelove because I've never heard anybody else mention it. A group of veterinary students in Virginia go on a special assignment... to the magical realm of Crossroads. They reattach unicorn horns, deal with centaur miscarriages and chimera hygiene, heal werewolves and these little kitten/rose bush creatures. Plus a hilarious and badass griffin. #17booklove @jess.how Thanks for organizing this!

TobeyTheScavengerMonk Fair warning: I haven't read these in years. No telling how they hold up, but that premise is hard to beat. 8y
JoRead They actually sound awesome 8y
howjessicareads Ha! That's great! Have you read Pip Barlett's Guide to Magical Creatures? Thanks for participating! 😝 8y

Maggany Uhm. This sounds AMAZING!!!!! 8y
TobeyTheScavengerMonk @Maggany Y'know, I really need to read them again. I worry that nostalgia has improved their quality. You are welcome to borrow the first one and see what you think. Just let me know. 8y

Day 28 of #17booklove #obscurelove

I read and loved this book a couple of years ago for a reading challenge - I needed a book set in my hometown and this (my college town) was as close as I could get. It has 9 reviews on Goodreads, so I think it can be considered obscure. 😃

Pickpick

My #obscurelove - Juliet Blyth only wrote 2 books, and she borrowed heavily from some of the themes in Georgette Heyer's books. But I love this one because the heroine is blind, and I don't think I've ever read another romance where the heroine has a disability! /// Also, I canNOT believe that today is the last day of #17booklove! I hope some of you will join me for #17rainbowbooks tomorrow!!
