Singapore is high up on my travel bucket list, so when I came across this title and read the synopsis it really intrigued me.

Wonderful debut! I recommend this book if you are looking for a read set in a fun, exotic place and with great take on women handling friendships, careers, relationships and complicated family dynamics.

This is such a sweet, inspiring guide to one line drawing. I can't draw at all, but I'm willing to practise at this. Heinke Neid certainly gives you a different perspective on how to portray the images you see.

I loved this memoir. Chin‘s writing, his amazing family, the Detroit backdrop, his struggles to find his place in the world really resonated with me.

Really recommend this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This packs a powerful punch for such a short book. Olesya writes beautifully of her love for her family and country. It is an evocative account of the Russian/Ukrainian war, told from one family's perspective. By writing in this way, Khromeychuk personalises the people behind the statistics and headlines of the war reportage. She does in a very humane and compassionate way. It is a crucial commentary on ⬇️

Cat White writes compassionately and with such loving prose about black womanhood, using history and key cultural figures to redress the balance. She has chosen some incredible women to highlight her point. My favourite part was easily that of Hattie McDaniel. I only knew of her as an actress, playing Mammy in Gone with the wind. I had no idea what an amazing, complex woman, poet, comedienne and activist she ⬇️

Such a lovely story with a big heart. Think Mean girls + Casper = Sheets
