Tonight was the school wide finals for the National Geographic Geography Bee. ManCub came in 4th! In the end he was up against a 7th grader and 2 8th graders, not bad for a kid in 5th grade. I‘m beyond proud of him but better yet he is proud of himself. All the participants got books this is one of them that he got along with a really nice world atlas. #mombrag #madeitaboutbooks

Life update: Littens who have known me for a while know that, between my husband & my younger daughter, a good portion of my life is spent in community theatre. Last summer, y'all were so kind when Ashleigh was playing Annie. She got to reprise the role this summer, this time at a larger, more established theatre in Nashville. This girl loves nothing more than being on stage. So, my reading life has suffered recently, but for good reason. #mombrag

Well, #Littens, we are coming down the home stretch -- three shows left in two days. I'm hoping to get some reading done for #24in48 since I won't be attending every show, but we will see. As always, thank you for putting up with my #mombrag posts. Ashleigh has had the time of her life, & her dad and I couldn't be more proud. #ANNIE #myAnnie

The best thing about Litsy is the community, & #Littens are always so indulgent of my #mombrag posts. If you're not a new follower, you know that my recent weeks have been full of rehearsals at the local community playhouse for my Ashleigh (in the classic red dress, joined by Warbucks & the other young lady playing Annie in the orphan outfit). Opening night is in 10 days & publicity photos were released today. So. Stinkin. Proud.

Not much time for #litsypartyofone for me today, as today is set build day! (My younger daughter is playing Annie in "ANNIE" at a local community playhouse, opening in two weeks. Have I mentioned? ? I know I have, & y'all have been incredibly generous in allowing me to #mombrag.) Maybe this evening. In the meantime, I'll be stalking you during breaks. Enjoy your day, #Littens!

Thank you, Katniss Everdeen, for inspiring a generation of girls to pursue archery! My daughter Katie, in the glasses, shot a personal best 279/300 to help her team to a 22nd place at the national championship, reaching their goal of top 25 & the top team from Tennessee. It also placed her in the top 8% of all girls who competed. 🎯

Will you #Littens allow me another #mombrag moment? I've been quiet on Litsy this week because we've been a busy family. My daughter, Ashleigh, who will be 12 in a few weeks, just got cast as Annie in a very well-respected community theatre's summer production! As you can see, she is spunky, sassy, & full of life and she is over the moon about this opportunity! #proudmom 🎭

We're members at the Museum of Flight in Seattle. Their gift shop has all the airplane books my obsessed 2.5 year old could ever want. #Mombrag - He can name all the airplanes in the WWII exhibit. #headintheclouds 🛩✈️🚀
