pickHalloween has past, so Christmas books are fair game, right? This story is one big crazy magical adventure of a boy searching for his toy. The talking toys give major Toy Story vibes. Lots of feels- starts off sad, several scares along the way(on the same level as most Disney movies), but in the end love conquers all.

Of these 3 boarding school books, Mystwick School of Music took the cake! It had great world building and magic based on music!
Mystwick and Black Hollow Lane shared the classic boarding school elements of a mysteriously missing parent, the enemy roommate, and a few faithful friends to aid in the quest! Either would be great for fans of Harry Potter.
Midnight for Charlie Bone was just so-so.
