Pickpick

Sometimes you read a book at just the right time and it speaks to you. Or maybe the author speaks to you and befriends you through the story unintentionally - it's hard to explain but somehow Nina George and Jean Perdu did just that for me through The Little Paris Bookshop - and somehow this book fell into my world just when I needed it most. #newfriends #LiteraryApothecary #booked2020 #FebruaryFeels #NinaGeorge

"He described the Literary Apothecary to her."
"A long boat with a low-slung belly, a galley, two sleeping berths, a bathroom and eight thousand books. It's a world apart from our world." "And an arrested adventure, like any moored ship - but he didn't say this." Yes, please.l, I'll take one right now.

BethE3 I think this is next up for our book club. Hope I like it! ☺️ Fun arrangement! 8y
eastbaykate I have been struggling to write a review about it! Most of it was so good...there were wonderful quotes. The last 1/4 was so slow and didn't really work for me...I kind of bailed and started skimming...I feel so horrible. 😨 8y
