Setting: WW 1, 5 different countries. The 5 MCs, in their early teens from 5 different backgrounds and nations, portray the terror, the violence, the hunger, and the dispirit of battle. The most they can hope for is to help others hang on to hope. But no matter who you are or where you‘re from - war is good for no one😓

Strong and clever female protagonist. I wasn‘t thrilled with the audiobook voices, it was like they were yelling all the time. Though the writing was good, dystopian is not my favorite🫤

Love Jennifer Nielsen‘s WWII YA HF! In France, Meg believes that her father has been captured by the NAZIs. All she has left of him are the codes he placed in a jar for her to decipher…

Oklahoma school superintendent Stephen Melvil Barrett, first met Geronimo in the summer of 1904, and felt that the 76 year old Bedonkohe Apache leader should tell his story. Geronimo told Barrett to “write what I have spoken”, so there‘s no editorial or analysis of the recollections, just G‘s story.

Neuroscientist and author Lisa Genova shatters all the misinformation and anecdotal wisdom about memory, dementia, and Alzheimer‘s. I recommend this book to anyone over 65, or anyone who cares for someone over 65.
