pickDigging into the classic for more about courage. No one checks out Polacco books in my library, but I refuse to weed them. I started reading them to the kids to see if I can make them move. We are all curious about the secret ingredient. I'm not brave enough!
I have Feelings about creators who reimagine ANNE OF GREEN GABLES in the States, but I made an exception for this queer, Latine take on the base story. It‘s very good so far. At about halfway through, I‘m invested in Dan and I‘m wondering if we‘ll ever see any redeeming qualities in his horrible grandfather. So far, dude is the worst.
