The husband & I have been off this week, and instead of going to FL as originally planned, we've hunkered down and had the most relaxing, chill week ever - and three days left to go!! I've been reading up a storm and have completed 6 books so far this year. None of them were mind-blowing, but since it's the beginning of the year, they check off so many challenge prompts 😂 So here's the skinny (sorry for the hosts getting tagged multiple times!):
pickThis is the book that first got me hooked onto the Vorkosigan series, one of my all-time favourite sci-fi series. It's a later book but was fine as an entry point. Now I'm rereading the entire series for a third time, this time on audio during long car trips with my husband.

This one has midsummer night dreams vibes. A love potion goes awry and someone ends up murdered. So of course, she has to solve the murder. The romance was getting started and then the love potion ruined it. 😒

so-soMy last read of 2024! This office romance and healing journey is a fun read, and I enjoyed the characters. The story shows anxiety and deals with childhood trauma and ptsd as well, and the publisher setting was fun. I felt like the pacing was a bit off throughout the book, and found some dramatic scenes a little unrealistic such as what hospital staff would allow. Do check the content warnings. #LGBTQIA #MentalHealth #OfficeRomance
