Cute, quirky, but not my favorite… I had trouble with it holding my attention… it was just ok for me!

I had very different expectations going into the book based on the title and the blurb than what the book ended up being about. I ended up feeling so depressed everytime I read it because what happens to the ghosts and how ghosts come to haunt a place was a lot more bleak and dark than what I wanted from the book. Most people really love Constable & Toop so it‘s definitely a me problem.

I know it's past Halloween but I don't care. This book was too freaking cute! Little ghost is lonely in the abandoned house and wants a friend. A new neighbor moves in. Can the ghost make a new friend or scare her away? Adorable graphics and a lovely story.

I don‘t know what‘s going on with me these days… but this is another miss for me. It just… definitely wasn‘t for me. I didn‘t really love how it started, how it middled, or how it ended. 🤷♀️ There‘s a good piece there… felt like some potential. But… kinda fell flat for me.

It almost never happens - actually, I can't think of a series I ever did that - that I go and read the next volume immediately after finishing the first book. But here? I really did not want to part from Nigel and Oscar. It felt like we didn't have enough time together, so I went and got volume two. And love that one too. There's just everything in it I love and need right now. So why wait?
