I‘m doing research for a magazine article I‘m writing a submitting soon and this was a great book to start with.
pickI can‘t remember ever reading a non-fiction book that was this funny and engaging. I had a great time reading about the exploits of Bill Murray, Steve Martin, John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase, and Eddie Murphy. This book definitely made me want to look up some of their sketches from the early days of SNL and watch some of their movies (Caddyshack, Ghostbusters, Beverly Hills Cop, The Three Amigos, The Jerk, Trading Places, The Blue Brothers)
pickI absolutely loved this book. i wasn‘t sure what to think of it when i first started but i quickly got immersed into the world and fell madly in love with the characters. i stayed up all night finishing this book, not a dull moment and i‘m devastated i have to wait until september for the sequel. there‘s a moment at the end where Into My Arms by Nick Cave plays and i played it as i read and it was a whole thing🖤🌙😭 #fangirling
