Le Petit Prince (French) | Antoine de Saint-Exupry

Mehso-so

For any #FRENCHTEACHERS out there looking for those hard to find French resources, #PosterPals does some great stuff. It‘s a bit $$ but it comes laminated and in full colour. They have a regular word wall and a math word wall. Just got mine a and I‘m spending a bit of time cutting it up tonight. They also have some great sound card bundles with CDs.

Le petit prince is a bit dark. Don‘t know why people insist on showing it to young kids FYI...

TheBookAddict 🙌🏽Not a French teacher, but I took French for 4 yrs in HS and 2 yrs. in college so I plan to teach my future kids (lol) some French. I also need to touch up on it a bit myself as well, so I‘ll be looking into it. And for some reason it seems like a lot of French kids stories are a bit dark, well at least the ones I was introduced to were. (edited) 7y
CarlyQuinn @TheBookAddict French Immersion is a wonderful option if you have it in your area. I forgot to mention that these are also great because they always include the determinants. You can get some good resources on teachers pay teachers but they often leave out the determinants or are riddled with mistakes 7y
TheBookAddict @CarlyQuinn yeah, I don‘t come across many people who speak French here, most people are amazed that i even know it. So I‘ve decided to start listening to French audiobooks. I‘ve kept on listening to French music and stuff like that, but I need to practice speaking it. Mostly because I would love to go to France and Montreal sometime. Thanks, I‘ll be looking into it. 7y

CarlyQuinn @TheBookAddict it‘s really too bad! It‘s such a beautiful language. It‘s pretty common in Manitoba, where I‘m from. I teach French Immersion. Love hearing the kids developing their learning. So fun! 7y
TheBookAddict @CarlyQuinn it is, I love it. I just wish I could use it so wouldn‘t end up forgetting it. 😔 I‘ll try my best though. 7y
CarlyQuinn @TheBookAddict best of luck with it! Move to Canada! We speak it all the time! 🇨🇦😁😜 7y
TheBookAddict @CarlyQuinn 😂 I should! Now I have to convince my husband. 😂 he‘ll feel left out since he only knows a couple of phrases. 7y
AlaMich That's so cool that you teach French immersion! I live in the US, where dual-language Spanish immersion is becoming a lot more common. If I had kids I would want them in that program, also because I have been studying Spanish for a thousand years myself now 😊. 7y
CarlyQuinn @AlaMich It‘s really a lovely opportunity for kids to get to learn additional languages, especially if they want to travel or even live abroad. There are also more opportunities for advancement in workplaces, and they get to experience more cultural diversity. I‘m glad to hear that immersion settings are becoming more popular in the USA now! @TheBookAddict just don‘t move to Quebec in that case. St. Boniface in Winnipeg is a good compromise! 7y
