First thriller in a long time. It was great to be lost in a story in the midst of chaos and sickness 🤧
I liked the characters. Although the end felt a little flat. The explanation felt so rushed and I didn‘t like it. It ended so abruptly. There‘s still some questions I‘d like answered. Wasn‘t a huge fan of the constant change in POV and going back and forth between 1st&3rd person. But overall good and easy story, great if you like thrillers

Amor4Libros Hope you are feeling better! 🤗 2w
AlaSkaat @Amor4Libros Thank you, I am much better today than I was 3 days ago. Now here‘s to hoping I didn‘t pass it on to my partner as he woke up feeling groggy today😅 2w

My first read by this author. A thriller that kept me interested. The characters were interesting and I felt drawn into the journey the father and son were on. I will read more by Landon Beach 4/5⭐️

“This isn't supposed to be a scary story. It's supposed to be disturbing. There's a difference.”

Hmm!! HMMM even!

I think I‘ll try another.

I recently rediscovered this charming mystery series after stumbling upon it in a new local bookstore that specializes in Kentucky authors and books set in the state. I was pleasantly surprised by the first book in the series, which exceeded my expectations.

thegirlwiththelibrarybag I have a love/hate relationship with this series - I‘m up to #20. They‘re mostly fun reads with decent mysteries… 3mo
NatalieR @Tamra Very true! 🌻 3mo
NatalieR @thegirlwiththelibrarybag I can understand loving and hating the series. You‘ve read a lot of them! At least they are short, quick books. 3mo
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @NatalieR, there‘s a couple of ongoing storylines that make me roll my eyes but I guess that‘s to be expected in such a long running series. I introduced a friend to them - and she lapped me 🙃 and is up to date (or as up to date as her library is) 3mo
NatalieR @thegirlwiththelibrarybag Yeah, it does give me pause when a series runs so long. Sometimes they can go on longer than they should. Glad your friend is enjoying it too. 😀 3mo

Sisters switch places and then the unthinkable happens.

Claire Douglas KNOWS how to set the stage for tension, what if, surprises, and the guessing game of who did it and what is really going on.

You know you are in for stay-up-late reading with her books. 5/5

DON‘T MISS IT!!

lil1inblue @JenlovesJT47 I can't say I'm an expert or even "doing it right." But I kind of just started by finding a deck with artwork I liked, then just pulled a card each day. I'd read the guidebook description for the card, and used it journaling prompt for reflection. Sometimes I'll look up spreads online, and use them for a longer journaling session. Then I just kind of pick up things as I go. I like to operate on vibes. ?? 3mo

lil1inblue @AnnCrystal Voila! 🍃🪄🍃 3mo
JenlovesJT47 Thanks! I‘m going to look up some books on the subject 🤓 3mo
AnnCrystal @lil1inblue & @JenlovesJT47 I'm no expert either...however, I am obsessed with all things mystical and supernatural. I use this research in my writings.

That's a good method lil1inblue and usually how Oracle cards guide. From my understanding, Intuition is your guidance.

Tarot is a bit more complicated. A beginner should probably begin with a three card reading.

You must seek a meaning:

👇🏼
3mo
AnnCrystal -Past, Present, and Future
-Situation, Challenge, Advice
-Action, Reaction, Outcome
-Mind, Body, Spirit
-Do, Don't, Proceed with Caution

When buying a deck (or decks if you decide to collect them), be sure to find a new one. A deck always soaks energies from the person the cards belong to, which can wonky your read. Only those experienced in the craft would know how to cleanse these energies before being able to truly claim a secondhand deck
👇
3mo
AnnCrystal Even a new deck should be cleansed. Some believe this should also be done after each reading, or moon cycle (depending on your personal beliefs). This could be achieved by placing deck where during the appropriate moon cycle (I'd have to refresh my research on which cycle is best). OR place on Crystals (or other appreciate stones with cleanser medicines). Using sea salt.

👇🏼
3mo
AnnCrystal Or White Sage smoke (with caution). OR simply holding them to your chest and imagining positive energy in the form of light circle your deck.

Ok, I will leave it there. I could ramble...as you probably know ...and this should give you a starting point JenlovesJT47.

P.S. like lil1inblue stated, select a deck that you connect with JenlovesJT47. Each deck should come with a personal guide that you can expand on as you build a connection.
3mo
AnnCrystal P.S.S. please do stay away from ouija boards. You probably won't find a direct answer as to why these communication boards are dangerous, but I have come to the conclusion that it is because you care granting permission to become a vessel (conduit, possession, doorway). YOU DO NOT want to grant this. DANGEROUS and can be DISASTROUS. Please heed this warning. 3mo
JenlovesJT47 @AnnCrystal thank you for this! 🤗♥️I took screenshots of everything. Funny enough, I got gifted a tarot set in one of my Litsy swaps awhile back, I‘ll have to find it. And don‘t worry! I was just telling my niece and nephew last week to stay away from ouija boards! I‘ve seen enough scary movies! 😱 3mo
AnnCrystal @JenlovesJT47 glad you found this info useful 👏🏼🥳👍🏼 and I'm glad you already know about the Ouija 😉👌🏼💝💝💝. 3mo
