I really enjoyed my July #ThematicCozies pick. A fun and easy series, this one took place during the annual pirate festival. I liked it enough that I‘m currently reading the next book in the series.

a beautiful story filled with amazing scenery, a Grumpy gardener, an Ex-librarian who never stops talking, and their journey to overcome their traumas and save an amazing greenhouse, as well as a greenhouse full of talking plants! beautifully written and narrated, this was even better than the first in my personal opinion. i loved everything about it! the narrator was amazing too! a fantastic cozy fantasy!
So cozy and imaginative! Terlu is imprisoned as a statue for creating a sentient plant, then finds herself at the cusp of needing to perform more magic to save the enchanted greenhouse and the dreams of the grumpy lone Gardner who still tends them
Raina is tricked into acting as Sonny‘s fiancé in return for receiving her grandfather‘s journal back and the truth about his mysterious 2nd marriage. Unfortunately, Sonny‘s brother is murdered at the dinner party and Sonny changes the terms of the agreement to include Raina finding the murderer. This s cozy mystery plays with a Chinese triad.
Starts with a great 1st line. Is a little slow setting background, but moves along nicely after that. Sunny shows up @ her aunt‘s penniless early in the morning only to find her aunt left on vacation and Sunny is expected to run the cafe. To make matters worse, a patron dies after taking the 1st bite of Sunny‘s cooking. Trying to clear herself of suspicion, Sunny manages to tick off people she was just making friends.
This one was fun to make. Getting ready to be shipped as a thank you gift to one of our relatives.

Tagged Book is Book 3 of Murder on Location Series. I really enjoy this with it's overall love of Jane Austen. Like the coziness of the location. Mystery always keeps me guessing. Also they're not super long. You can finish in a couple of days. Plan to keep reading over the rest of year. 📖🎩🎞
While humorous and somewhat entertaining, I think I‘d give it 3.5 🌟. When Fiona, Evie‘s best friend is the top suspect for a murder on Mackinac island, Evie does her best to prove Fiona‘s innocence. Misleading the tourists to think it‘s all part of a mystery game adds to the schtick.
