I try to avoid reading more than one book at a time, but I've somehow found myself reading four simultaneously!
I just couldn't pass up the next @SerialReader #readalong! Mowgli has joined my menagerie of 11-year-old #childprotagonists.

jpmcwisemorgan It's ok. I used to never read more than one book at a time but in the last few years that's changed, mostly because I read on my Kindle and physical books - and I'm in a book club. 8y

KCorter @jpmcwisemorgan I'm in a similar situation. I have an audiobook for the car, a daily readalong with my youngest, the next installment in a series, and now a #SerialReader. There has been surprisingly little overlap despite the similar age of the protagonists. You did just remind me that I need to start my book club selection as well. ;p

Speaking from Among the Bones | Alan Bradley

Aside from my own book (#FlaviaForever!), I usually have an #audiobook I listen to in the car with the kids. For about a week now, Simon and I have also read a chapter out of Anne of Green Gables before naptime.
Today I realized that Anne, Charlie, and Flavia are all clever and tenacious 11 year-old #childprotagonists! I hope these #currentreads brighten up these otherwise dark #currentevents.

kirriemummy I just loved this. It was small, perfectly formed, and had so much swimming beneath the surface- questions of tolerance, family, love, grief. If I was in charge I would put it on every high school reading list, perhaps as a companion to to kill a mockingbird. 8y

The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13 3/4: Adrian Mole | Sue Townsend

A classic. One of the funniest books I read as a teenager and probably still. (This is the same cover as my copy from years ago!)... It's of its time but captures teen angst so vividly; great observations, characters, heart & soul. A must-read. #photoadayNov16 #childprotagonists

The Book Thief | Markus Zusak

A wonderful book, I highly recommend it. One of best #childprotagonists I've read. (John Boyne's Boy in Striped Pyjamas also comes to mind). I may have to do more than entry for this topic! #photoadayNov16
