This is book three in a series about Jaz Parks. She‘s the assistant to CIA assassin who also happens to be a vampire. Back when I read fantasy all the time, I enjoyed this series for what it is. Sadly, the author passed away young, and before finishing the series. 🧛🏻‍♀️🧛🏻‍♂️

#OctoberXFiles #day1 #BitinTheBullet This long weekend in Sydney I finally bit the bullet and hopefully kicked my #bookslump‘s arse for good. Over the past three days I‘ve started & finished The Clockmakers Daughter, Neverworld Wake & The Hoarder, and am so far, 100pg into a fourth book, The Corset. This has been a great reading weekend!

Although I read this 8 years ago, parts of it are really stuck in my mind. Not one of my highest rated King pieces, but it‘s worth a listen. #OctoberXFiles #bitinthebullet

I saw this one on my shelves and it seemed fitting for #bitinthebullet.

This is the first in a series about Jack Laidlaw, a detective in Glasgow. It sounds perhaps comparable to the Henry Hole series, although admittedly I haven‘t read it yet. I bought it only because it‘s a Europa. #noshame And I mean, it says world noir on the cover l, which sounds pretty effing awesome.
