Mehso-so

It was ok it was a fast read but I felt like it was trying too hard to be funny sometimes. Also I was not really fan of all the footnotes, mostly because I found them to be a little distracting sometimes

1. Yes. But my grandfather helped. I inherited his beat up book of Robert Frost poetry. It's now in pieces in a ziplock bag. I'm hoping to re-bind it.
2. I went through a big Lisa Alther phase in high school.
3. One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Eggs Excellent post ~ thanks for playing🥰 1w

Liked it more than Astrid but not as much as Delilah. If it was just the MCs & romance they would be comparable -but Delilah‘s story was also her confronting her past & her found family story. I liked the 2 MCs -BUT Stevie‘s anxiety as a plot device was very inconsistent & it felt like Iris only became a write so AHB could make jokes about blowing your ideas on the 1st book (& Iris is the best actress anyone has ever seen on her first day- what?)

5feet.of.fury Iris resolves nothing NOTHING with her family, side characters have dubious motivations. It‘s normal to swear off love after a string of bad relationships & come around when the right one comes along, everyone was being v dramatic 😂 1mo
5feet.of.fury And I feel like the wrong character gets the grand gesture. Like I get it from an “Iris DOES do romance” but the whole thing is that no one treated her like she was worth it and then Stevie calls her a coward & needs to be chased down? What? 1mo

Wait… why is Iris a writer all of a sudden? I‘m only 10% in & I already know it‘s not going to be as good as Delilah…

4/5

I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Bright Falls series. Iris has writer's block, so when there's an opportunity to fake date Stevie and practice some romance for inspiration, she figures nothing can go wrong.

I absolutely adored this book, just as much or more than the others in this series. I found the character arcs extremely fascinating and incredibly satisfying. And of course the 🔥STEAM🔥 was perfection. I will miss the ladies of Bright Falls so dang much, sad to see this series end 😭 but also over the moon excited to read whatever Blake will write next!

peanutnine I heard she's coming out with a Christmas novel! 👀🎄🤩 2mo
