There was some messed up logic that bugged me in this book. Lots of things I would consider tiny were blown up and lots of big things were shrugged off.
Also, Stevie‘s friends were the worst.
pickLiked it more than Astrid but not as much as Delilah. If it was just the MCs & romance they would be comparable -but Delilah‘s story was also her confronting her past & her found family story. I liked the 2 MCs -BUT Stevie‘s anxiety as a plot device was very inconsistent & it felt like Iris only became a write so AHB could make jokes about blowing your ideas on the 1st book (& Iris is the best actress anyone has ever seen on her first day- what?)
Wait… why is Iris a writer all of a sudden? I‘m only 10% in & I already know it‘s not going to be as good as Delilah…

I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Bright Falls series. Iris has writer's block, so when there's an opportunity to fake date Stevie and practice some romance for inspiration, she figures nothing can go wrong.
Iris Kelly was desperate.

pickI absolutely adored this book, just as much or more than the others in this series. I found the character arcs extremely fascinating and incredibly satisfying. And of course the 🔥STEAM🔥 was perfection. I will miss the ladies of Bright Falls so dang much, sad to see this series end 😭 but also over the moon excited to read whatever Blake will write next!

pickI can‘t say it‘s my favorite romcom I‘ve ever read, but there was a lot here I enjoyed. I wouldn‘t recommend it to everyone across the board, but if you liked Blake‘s other books, I think this one will feel satisfying to you. I really liked Stevie‘s arc and found her to be an interesting character.
pickThis is a soft pick for me because I loved the friend group, the fake dating, and the sex/romance knowledge swap, but people don't behave like this?? I don't know. There was so much going for it and I loved the dynamic between the mains but I kept getting frustrated and really felt this could have been better. But then again, that's me and I know going into a new contemporary romance that our chances are not great.
pickIRIS AND STEVIE. 😍 Oh, I love how they complemented each other. Blake really knocked it out of the park here between the romance, the friend groups, and the queer Shakespeare adaptation. And I love how the Bright Falls series came full circle by the end! A stellar sapphic story. #contemporaryromance
Seems fitting as we head towards the end of the year.

pickMy favorite of the Bright Falls books so far! A woman who's given up on finding love and an actress with severe anxiety pretend to date after a disastrous one night stand. But despite their fears and protestations, the feelings between them are all too real. So cute and sweet and a bit steamy.
The only good thing about flying through Chicago O'Hare is the popcorn 🤩
