I‘m going to be honest, I do not understand why everyone seems so wowed by this book. The illustrations are quite good, the colors and images setting the perfect eerie tone, but the stories found within...could have been better. The story about the body parts in the wall, if written as a novella rather than a graphic short story, would have been better. ⬇

LibrarianRyan I think the author could have upped the creepy factor and had the readers at the end of their seats. The girls in the house in the woods, has lovely artwork, but the story goes nowhere. I feel these are creepy stories for a younger audience, but I feel it does not do enough. It‘s almost there, but not quite.

RaeLovesToRead I wasn't wowed when I read this but looking back at it it left an eerie impression and I wish I hadn't given my copy away! There was one story in it that I thought was awesome... the one with the sentient noodles. 5y
