pickFinished this one 9/30. This one was interesting. I‘m learning about so many types of relationships reading these books. Not sure if any are based on reality, but it‘s definitely different for me.
There are only 2 more published books, so I need to slow down or I‘m going to run out of my current obsession.
pickThis was an informative look at the history and mythology surrounding Aphrodite/Venus - from her ancient Mesopotamian ancestor Ishtar, to Inanna and Astarte, and finally her Greek and Roman forms. While a little academically dry in tone, which caused me to switch to audiobook, it is a fascinating history of a goddess who is so much more than modern patriarchy gives her credit for being.
Sunday morning homestretch of my current read.
pickThe way this series has a chokehold on me. The political drama is SO good, and I loved how Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Adonis, and Pandora had to navigate their feelings. No one is doing it like Katee Robert. #contemporaryromance
so-soThis series has an over arching story and that‘s really why I toughed this one out. The last 20% had more plot things going on that will lead to the next step but it took forever and ever to get there.
This is not part of my rating as it‘s a matter of personal preference, but one of the sexytimes was not my jam so much so that it completely pulled me out of the book.
pickWhile I am obsessed with Greek mythology, I cant say I know much about Aphrodite. I enjoyed this one a lot.

pickShort but packed full of information. I love the author's history documentaries so when I read this I can hear her explaining it to me. A lovely book to dip in and out of to be able to feel immersed in myth and history.
