pickThis book peers into the lives of two characters with very different experiences. The author draws you into both stories not only because of the well written, engaging characters but Ozeki draws you into caring for these characters deeply as they each grow throughout the story. I found the story of Naoko more interesting but I believe there is something for everyone in this book that could invite them to enter into the story. #airplanereads
pickWasn't expecting much out of it, but The Crossover is an excellent blend of a modern young culture and a coming of age story. Delivered in a visual poetic format, Kwame Alexander invites you into the struggles of Josh "Filthy McNasty" on and off the court.
