This started out as a combination mystery/ghost story, which intrigued me. Once it became obvious that the ghost story aspect wasn't going to pan out, the story lost some of its excitement and turned into a rather predictable mystery. The characters don't seem to grow much throughout the story, and the plot follows a fairly standard formula. The writing style was good, but the "who-done-it" part was just too easy to figure out.
