A bit all over the place, but overall a fun read. Who doesn‘t love a tale about witches, a pirate, and 1700s English hierarchy with antiquated rules about the roles of women?! Book #111 in 2024

I didn‘t want to read an entire book of Appalachia Noir, so I found this book of short stories of Contemporary Appalachia. It was plenty dark for me, but the stories were interesting. Lots of good writing. #111 #BookSpinBingo #2 #BFC21 #3 #BOOKED2021 #SuperSeptember #FallIntoReading

#111 of my year. I remember reading the first book and falling in love with the group of characters. I‘m really excited to read book 2 today. I‘m listening to Fly Me To The Moon by Lotus Blue🌻

Caffeinated_Reader That was a emotionally charged read. I can‘t believe the ending. I was balling my eyes out and then left speechless. I absolutely missed these characters and the world they‘re in. Man that was a fantastic follow up! Highly recommend. I especially loved the detail of the palace and everything that was found in it. It was truly amazing to read. 4y

#111 and I haven‘t heard too much about this one but I absolutely love the title. This cover is also very beautiful and under the dust cover on the actual hardcover is a series of ones and zeroes. So it seems like a very coded yet interesting set up.

Caffeinated_Reader Dang. It was a grabbing story. I liked the characters and what they each wanted to accomplish. The chaos of what it was like was nicely portrayed. I think the ending was fitting albeit a bit rushed. I enjoyed this a lot! 5y

2017 #111 mystery audio it was read by dick hill who makes everything sound exciting. It was a decent story and I enjoyed it. There was some interesting undertones that I might be hyper sensitive about but if I let that go I'm left with a decent series.
