I don't read romance often & I especially hate instalove romance, which this is, but I got it free so 🤷‍♀️
I strongly dislike Christian fiction, which this tried to sneak by me until the end. & guys, the ending was so aggravating and stupid.
Every one of these guys were condescending and presumptuous, getting all sexually harrass-y on people they've known 2 days. It wasn't cute or sexy, not when the love interest was accused of rape (cont. below)

night_shift and that was never resolved in anyway (just vague references to the girl taking advantage of him and her basically being a mean girl slut-type character). Everyone of these characters had an unrealistic arc of development. Or none at all. 6y
night_shift I'm just so annoyed with myself that I kept reading once it started getting just so awkward. 6y
night_shift And really that his tumor was healed by her love and a freaking angel.. and that him having cancer and going through all of that is God's plan. Screw that noise. Anyone who wants to believe cancer is in God's plan clearly hasn't watched someone die of it 6y

night_shift Also the version I had included the novella after this and I didn't even bother reading it because I just didn't care. 6y
BethM Wow thAt sounds astoundingly bad. 6y
PickwickPlockPlock That sounds absolutely dreadful. My blood pressure rises just from reading your description! 6y
night_shift @BethM I am still ranting to my husband about how awful it was and my regrets reading it. @PickwickPlockPlock sometimes, free books are totally not worth it 😑 but now you know, so avoid it Haha 6y
BarbaraBB Hi, can I ask you a non bookish question? I am travelling this Summer through Oregon and have never been there. Do any places come to mind that I should definitely visit? I‘m very interested in the Oregon trail for example. I‘d love to hear from you, if you have the time! Thanks! 6y
night_shift @BarbaraBB I'm not actually the best person to ask this, as I've only moved here two years ago, but I can give you some cool places I've been around here. Like, visiting Hawthorne street is cool. Lots of little shops and a smaller Powell's. 6y
night_shift @BarbaraBB following the Oregon trail to the coast is pretty cool, too. It ends at Seaside, which has a lot of stuff to do. Kinda touristy, but nice. In Portland I always suggest OMSI, a handful of breweries if that's your thing (rogue, deschutes, etc.), and you gotta visit the Powell's off of Burnside. It's absolutely enormous and very cool. 6y
BarbaraBB Thank you so much! I‘d love to follow the Oregon trail for a bit and I am into beers and books of course. Powell‘s seems heaven! Thanks again 😘 6y
night_shift @BarbaraBB yeah, no problem! Hope you have a good time! 6y
