Kathleen Alcalá's short fiction is TRANSCENDENT. Imagine the aesthetic of early Francesca Lia Block sans cultural appropriation and you'll come close, but Alcalá is in a class all her own. I dearly wish my library owned her books so I could wallow in her for a week or two.
