I haven't read all of these yet, but I think they can be considered #dystopian. #readingwomenmonth

GlassAsDiamonds The Fifth Sacred Thing is fascinating and has one or two follow up novels (Sorry, it‘s been a while since I read them all and memory is a tad hazy as to the order of the series!!). Good read though 😊😊😊 7y
TK-421 @GlassAsDiamonds I hadn't realized it was a trilogy! I'm going to have to look for the other books! 7y
GlassAsDiamonds @TK-421 they‘re harder to come by and I think the second is not as good as this but worth it and these are *very* hazy memories!!! 😊😊😊😊 7y

These are some of my fave books that utilize magic. Kim Harrison's The Hollows is probably my favorite urban fantasy series (so far!), Tamora Pierce's Alanna series is SO GOOD, and The Fifth Sacred Thing appeals to my secret witchy hippie heart. 🌈 ❤️ 🔮 #riotgrams / Day 5

Bookworm54 Love the hollows! ❤️ 8y
Clare-Dragonfly I really have to read The Fifth Sacred Thing sometime. My hippie witchy heart is not secret at all! 8y
Chessa @Clare-Dragonfly Ugh, it's so good! There are high levels of woo (like the way they "program" computers run by crystals ?) but so much of it is really really amazing. If you have any love for utopia/dystopia, it's very satisfying! 8y

Chessa @Bookworm54 Meeee tooooo. I love Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson almost as much, but The Hollows is just so great! And it had SUCH a satisfying ending. I was so worried, but that was unnecessary. 8y
Clare-Dragonfly Oh, man, I DO love utopia/dystopia. I'm going to go put it on hold now 😁 8y
Clare-Dragonfly Oh no my library doesn't have it 😭 8y
Clare-Dragonfly Crisis averted—I have a Free Library of Philadelphia card and they have it on Overdrive! I'm not actually going to get it today because I have a preorder coming tomorrow to my Kindle, but it will be next. 8y
Beachesnbooks Yess Tamora Pierce! Love that cover. 8y
Bookworm54 It was worrying, I agree! The ending was great though, and I love how Rachel grows during the series 🙂 8y
