Pickpick

This installment of the 87th Precinct novels has a very devious bad guy and a more complicated plot than some of the others. Plenty of action, more ridiculous missed opportunities for communication between the detectives to delay the solution, and tons of sexist language, stereotypes, and a pinch of bigotry for good measure. I shouldn‘t like these as much as I do, but they are addictive police procedural brain candy. I can‘t help myself. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was one of my favorites of the series so far. Solid pacing and a delightfully complicated villain. I can't believe this is my first time reading through the 87th Precinct books. They are just so much fun.

1. Very small town - when we moved here, the mayor proudly told us it's the second-highest point in the county, because that's apparently the best aspect of living here haha Husband & I still joke about it every time it rains - no flood worries here!
2. Long days & no shoes!!
3. Anything on the grill, fresh veggies from the garden, & peaches!
4. Print, although ebooks are so convenient for traveling!
