I loved these books! I have to remember to recommend them to Eleanor soon. // They‘re the story of a 12 year old English girl sent to safety with relatives in Maine during World War Two.

Bourriquet76 I think my girl read them. They sound familiar! We both live WW2 time period stories. 7y

Pickpick

This is the story of a young British girl who is sent to live with her American relatives during World War II (I know, the cover is very misleading!), whom she has never met while her parents go back to London, or so she thinks. While there she discovers so, so many secrets about the family and her parents. This book is part mystery, part historical fiction, part coming of age story & 100% delightful!!
