1️⃣ I'm a broken record.
2️⃣ From a couple years back. I didn't take pics in 2019 and I've not put up this year's decorations yet.
3️⃣ Either Halloweentown or Nightmare Before Christmas, depending on the mood.

We got a bit of sun and warmth today! FINALLY. I am so sick of the cold. It is the middle of May. Pittsburgh, do better.

Three books came in my Lit Love subscription from Amazing Books. I never know what's coming and it's fun to see what they pick for me.

#Minnie took a moment to sniff each book. Then #MooMoo decided these books were best suited for sitting and sunbathing.

AlaMich Same here in Chicago. Flannel sheets are still on the bed and the heat is coming on far too often. 5y
diovival @AlaMich Ugh! I just want to walk around in a tank top. I want to walk around in a sundress. I'd rather sweat than be too cold. I neeeeeeeed these cold temps to go away. 5y

@lollymya; stolen from @maich

Nick Bantock's The Forgetting Room. This book! This book! It's one I reread every year. The failed relationship between father and son, the artistic legacy between grandfather and grandson even beyond death. The careful, subtle unravelling of one's artistic process into new artistic visions filled with empathy. Mourning through collage. What's not to love!

2️⃣ Cheezies, way better than crunchy Cheetos.
3️⃣ Sunset

1️⃣ I watched Good Omens and it made me happy.
2️⃣ Tagged. I re-read it every year and I'm due.
3️⃣ 🤮 That's why.
4️⃣ I read Le canard de bois by Louis Caron (no relation) and I kept it for years in my library just to hate it more.

Aimeesue Good Omens is the most happy- making apocalypse tale ever! 😇😈❤️ (edited) 5y
tournevis @Aimeesue I loved the book to bits but the series just tales it up just so, it's delightful. 5y

1️⃣ Tagged. Re-read it once a year. I'm due.
2️⃣ Chocolate. It's my answer to most food questions.
3️⃣ Not my type of show, but one I know most people loved: _19-2_ (either the original Franco or the Anglo remake), a very deep and troubling cop drama. Good show.
4️⃣ Completely at random: Hi! @CCYother Nice to meet you! 👋👋👋
#tuesdaytidbits @JenlovesJT47

MicheleinPhilly I just ripped through all 4 seasons of 19-2 last month. Excellent show! 7y
tournevis @MicheleinPhilly Which version? 7y
MicheleinPhilly The Canadian one. 7y
tournevis @MicheleinPhilly So my guess is you mean the Anglophone version. The Francophone version is also Canadian. 7y

I am not a book crier. Even tragedies don't make me cry much. However, once in a while, there will be a book that gets to me. Like Nick Bantock's The Forgetting Room, that I re-read every year. It's an important book for me.

Pickpick

Day 18 of #riotgrams is Something #Pretty! Nick Bantock's The Forgetting Room is it. Not only is it beautiful to hold and behold, it is my favorite of his books. Sabine&Griffin might be better known and The Venitian's Wife might have had more favorable reviews, but this is a story of mourning and discovering and finding one's creative soul. I re-read it once a year. Also, I have a signed first edition.

Answers to the #24in48 intro survey I missed last night because I was too focused on reading to check the blog! Background is from #endpapers earlier in the week. 😊
