Love a new purchase! 😍
#MusicalNewYear My first thought for #ALittlePriest was Arthur Dimmesdale from A Scarlett Letter. As far as classics go, I found this book very readable. One of my more enjoyed required school readings. Images from Google. I‘m thinking The Scarlett Letter would make for a good musical. What do you think @vivastory ??? Should I mention this one too to our good buddy, LMM😜
I had no idea what this was about until I started it. Writtern in the sixteen hundreds this is the story of Hester, a married woman who conceives a baby by an affair and is forced to wear a scarlett broach at all times and how the community responded to her crimes. The actual text of this book was easy to follow however the language between the characters was difficult to understand but there was enough text for me to know what was happening.
#FriYAYintro I thought Hester Prynne was pretty badass?I'm wearing a sundress & it's royal blue?"Ogden" (a city in Utah ~ The Profiteers) ?mermaids?I did & a threw in some ??too @jess.how
Finally I read this book of which I knew most of the story already. Still it was nice to read. The drama, the triangle between the beauty, the sufferer and the evil man. And the strange girl Pearl. I don't think Hawthorne knew many children himself. Anyhow, amusing. No more than that. #1001books
I do not have any Christmas themed books, so this is the best I could do!

One of my favorite banned books. #bannedbooks should be on the shelf.
