An entertaining romp through a trippy quest. It‘s like a Stephen King novel came into contact with the Improbability Drive in Hitchhiker‘s Guide to the Galaxy. It was okay for what it is and the time it was written. Some bits have aged well and the almost Lovecraftian horror aspect is fun to read. But there are moments you wonder if the author is living out repressed fantasies when random intimate interactions are wedged into the storyline.

Cthulu approved. a quick and easy read, pretty fun if you like the weird and creepy. Someone on goodreads likened it to "National Lampoon's Vacation if it was written by H.P. Lovecraft and Clive Barker." I tried, but I can't think of a more perfect description.

Visibility and popularity are not signs of greatness as often as they are of being loud. They are more often the signature of vulgarity rather than acheivement. It is what we do woth ourselves that makes us great, not the value others place on those doings.

Liking this so far - it's just the kind of creepy/weird/bizarre I love.
