It is ridiculously hot and humid today, but I'm so sick of being indoors that I drug a fan out onto the sunporch. I'm doing a reread of the Sandman comics before I watch the show... I'd forgotten how twisted some of this story is...
I read this massive beast hunched over a table because it's too large and too heavy for my lap. But I love it, so I adapt.
And here‘s a picture from a Sandman short from a Vertigo Winter‘s Edge anthology comic (collected in the 2nd volume of Absolute Sandman).
It‘s the only time we really see #Desire acting totally benevolent to anyone but her (or his) sister Despair.
In this story (“The Flowers Of Romance”) she gifts an aging Satyr one last passionate tryst.
