This is another catch up post from last week. This continues to be a weird series where chicken is still banned and there are other weird food things going on. Also a classic rare animal dinner.

I started going this series about a week ago and Omg! I love it! Characters have special powers, and everything relates to unique relationships with food. And sometimes not food, but still things that are consumed. I thought the premise sounded stupid, but I'm about to start issue #30 of 60 so obviously it's a lot of fun and better than I expected! Will review when I finish them (to date).
I‘ve some time to chill before heading over to my mum‘s for tea time, so I decided to read from my latest comic haul! You can check out my full haul at BiblioNyan . Com!
I find this series to be quite excellent for numerous reasons, such as the homage to classic crime/mystery tropes via the illustrations, the strange yet unique premise, the dark humour, & more!

1. Chew. Gross more often then not buuut food related.
2. Poutine and Anything chicken
3. Brussel Sprouts. Texture of it is just bleh.
4. Christmas
5. Depends on where I am. I don't sit and eat out much. I crave KFC often. Lol.

@JoScho
I think this volume was more of a set up for things to come. It ended on a major cliffhanger, but there was still some progression in Tony‘s relationship and his investigation of his rogue partner. Unfortunately I have to wait for the other volumes to come back from the library to find out what happens next.

Well we officially own 8 graphic novels now. 6 of them are Chew! You nailed it @TricksyTails ! I hope to read them soon too so I know what he is talking about! 😆😆😆

Of the three volume of this series I have so far, I enjoyed Volume 1 the most. But I still give it a 🌟🌟🌟🌟rating. I plan to continue reading the series and welcome any comments or observations anyone can add about this and anything else I am reading.
I recommend the series if you have a strong stomach and a sick sense of humor.
I‘ve been on a graphic novel kick lately... probably because of all the awesome graphic novels I‘ve seen posted for #LetsGetGraphicWeekLongMarathon! Really enjoying this series because it combines my two passions: detective work & food! And I‘ve been needing something fun to read after the couple of not-so-great books I just finished...
Man, this series is weird. In a good way! I like it!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Waiting on my little ladies to get out of gymnastics. No better time to start this! 😜
I finished yesterday‘s #comicthon with volume 3 of Chew. He‘s a cannibalistic detective investigating bizarre crimes, many to do with the illegal poultry trade. The series just gets better with every issue.
By coincidence, the final chapter has Chu attending his family‘s Thanksgiving dinner. I hope my American friends all had a lovely Thanksgiving and that their dinners weren‘t anything like Chu‘s!
