The Bird of Night | 
pickOne thing I try to do on occasion is read books which were popular or award winners in their day but are not as known now. This one was shortlisted for the Man Booker prize in 1972 and it was such an incredible book! Less than 200 pages, it is the story of two men and their relationship in post WW1 Britain as one suffers from an increasingly debilitating mental illness. A moving and emotional read!💯 #retroreads
