The Classic Car Book
The Classic Car Book: The Essential Guide to Buying, Owning, Enjoying and Maintaining a Classic Car | Andrew Noakes
4 posts
In an age of technically complex cookie-cutter cars, the classic car scene is flourishing, and many owners are now running classics as everyday cars. This extensively illustrated book provides the reader with all the information needed to choose, run and maintain a practical classic car, whether the owner is fanatical about preserving originality, or wishes to modernize a classic to improve reliability and practicality. It is essential reading for anyone contemplating ownership of their first classic car, and for existing owners who wish to maximize their enjoyment of the classic car scene.

Checked out a car show today. While I love classic cars, their size and lack of power steering makes me wonder how I would have fared 60 years ago. They also remind me of Stephen King‘s Christine 🚗

The Delorean was there, but someone took out the flux capacitor 😉

Trashcanman Was the Dukes of Hazzard car there? 1969 Dodge Charger 7y
dariazeoli @Trashcanman No sign of General Lee! 7y

Not book related
today I didn't get to read much but I had a good time! I'm a town over from where James Dean was raised.
They have two classic car shows over the weekend and lots of yummy food!
It was 90 degrees out but the Cars from all over the US and flame thrower shows draw me in every year!
#Indiana #JamesDean

Now I'm home and laying down with a book to end a busy Saturday!

Wbabdullah @Ash.on.the.line I love turquoise! Reminds me of the '67 in Hidden Figures. Did u see that movie/read that book? 'Twas beautiful! (And I'm not a car girl!) (edited) 8y
Ash.on.the.line @Wbabdullah I love turquoise too! I have watched the movie and still need to read the book! 😁 8y

So, I love a good classic car show, and I know the rules say "at least 25 years old" blah blah blah. . . . But I think if you're displaying your 1990 Ford at the Classic Car show, you're doing it wrong.

ApoptyGina69 Gosh, I wish you could come to Grass Valley, CA in April. Our classic car show is just terrific. I have so many pix. It's from about 1910 through 1979. Our friend is the original owner of a '66 Porche and shows every year. 9y
