My article on Book Riot urges you to BUY this anthology and also tells you how Gregory Maguire's short story turned me into a fangirl. For real, buy this book! https://bookriot.com/2017/01/23/buy-borrow-bypass-ya-anthologies/

My reading life has been a bit scatterbrained lately. I only have enough of an attention span for these short stories.

This book isn't in Litsy, but all my queer-book-reading friends should read Am I Blue? because it's outstanding. As for me, I figure some queer teen angst is just what I need to combat a day that began at 4:30 am driving my partner to dialysis, continued with baking cookies for tomorrow's nanny playgroup, and is currently in hour six of wrangling a tantrum-y sleep deprived 3 year old (because her day also apparently started at 4:30 am!)

SiriGuruDevSingh Oh. It's short stories. I got excited for a long, romantic-feels filled book 8y
ChasingOm Your partner (and your 3 year old) are lucky to have you. 💜 8y
bookishkai @ChasingOm she's not my 3 year old, I'm her nanny. But thank you :) 8y
Nebklvr I hope you get some rest soon. 8y

This book of short stories is on the ALA list of frequently banned/challenged *diverse* books (a focus this year.) Published in 1994 and intended for YA readers, I found them to be overall very mild, more helping teens toward self-acceptance of whoever they might be.
